Running Shipthis? Keep it, or move on.
Keep your TMS for the records. FreighAI runs the work around them.
Shipthis tells you what it sells, what it costs and which parts it bills by the transaction. So the honest first question is not whether Shipthis is any good. It is whether FreighAI would duplicate something you already pay for by the seat. Keep every module and add FreighAI around the email, or move on from Shipthis and work in FreighAI instead. This page covers both.
Every email your company receives is read, understood and turned into a task for the right person, with the answer already drafted. Your team approves. Nobody lives in the inbox any more.
need DHL quote Gurugram → Ajman, 72kg, by Friday. express.
packing list attached. urgent pls 🙏
Pls quote for shipment as below. Confirmed pkg dims attached, IEC docs to follow…
- 01Two ways in, and this page covers both. Keep Shipthis and add FreighAI around the email. Or move on from Shipthis and let FreighAI be the system your team works in.
- 02Shipthis holds the operating record. Shipment lifecycle across ocean, air, land and rail, quotation and tariff, freight accounting, warehouse, documents and eAWB, and a white-labelled portal. If those modules run your business, keep them.
- 03It also publishes what it charges. Its pricing page lists $89 per user per month for all modules, checked 3 September 2026, a 30-day free trial with no card, and add-ons billed per transaction. Only that first-party figure is used here, and only with its date.
- 04So the real question is whether this duplicates a module. It does not, because the email work is not one. Reading an arriving enquiry into a quotation, emailing every agent on a lane and chasing the quiet ones are not described in Shipthis’ published material, checked September 2026.
- 05And no, the answer is not more seats. Same team. 5x more business. Infinity Logistics quoted 70% more shipments with the same five-person team, comparing Q4 2024 with Q4 2025. The mail is worked before it reaches a desk.
- 06You keep your own carrier accounts and negotiated rates. FreighAI never sits between you and your carrier relationship. FreighAI prices from your own rate cards and emails your own agents for the lanes you do not hold. No Shipthis connector is live and this page claims none. We scope the first workflow, integration requirements and implementation plan with your team.
What your Shipthis plan already covers
Shipthis makes this boundary easy to draw, because the scope is published. The plan its pricing page calls For Everyone is listed at $89 per user per month for all modules, checked 3 September 2026. It names Shipment and Freight Management, CRM, the Tariff and Rate module, the Quotation module, Freight Accounting and the Warehouse Management System. Around it sit add-ons billed per transaction, including track and trace, trade messaging and eAWB.
The product pages fill that in. Shipthis describes shipment lifecycle management across ocean, air, land and rail, tracking from over 100 airlines and shipping lines by bill of lading and container number, smart documentation and eAWB submission, a portal you can brand, a vendor portal, accounting aligned to GAAP, and a warehouse with barcode hardware. That is a real system of record.
The argument is about a different part of the day, and it starts one step earlier than any module. An ocean enquiry lands in pricing@ with no cargo readiness date, and somebody writes back to ask. Somebody emails three co-loaders for a lane you do not hold, then remembers on Thursday that two never answered. A carrier bill arrives in accounts@ and a person checks it against the job.
None of that reaches Shipthis until a person carries it there. Their CRM keeps leads, quotations and emails in one place, and its email integration sends quotations and invoices from templates. That is mail going out from a record. Reading the mail that comes in and producing the quotation from it is not described in Shipthis’ published material, checked September 2026. Four questions for your own week:
- Which enquiries and agent rate replies arrive before anything exists in Shipthis?
- How many people touch one thread before a quotation is raised?
- Which chasers depend on somebody remembering on a Thursday?
- Which Shipthis record has to stay the one everybody trusts?
The enquiry, the agent rate reply and the carrier bill all arrive here before any record exists.
Reads the thread, finds the price, chases the agent, drafts the reply, and hands one finished task to a named person.
Shipment lifecycle, quotation and tariff, freight accounting, warehouse, smart documentation and eAWB, and the customer portal.
What changes once the mail is worked for you
FreighAI takes on that mail instead of your people. It watches every company mailbox, pricing, operations, tracking and accounts, and follows each conversation from start to finish. It works out what each email is and what it needs, then takes the action that message calls for. Follow-ups, chasers and reminders happen on their own, on the same conversation. Your people work in FreighAI, not in the inbox.
The email is only the start. The real time goes on what comes after it. Find the rate on the carrier’s site. Check the tracking in another tab. Open the TMS for the job. Look up what you charged this customer last time. Forward it to operations and wait. Chase the agent, or forget to. FreighAI does all of that itself. It pulls your rate cards, checks the carrier, looks up the customer’s history, reads the shipment status, and talks to your TMS or accounting system. It chases what has not come back. It passes the work from pricing to operations to accounts, with the email and everything it found attached. Nobody forwards it. Nobody re-keys it. Nobody asks for an update. Then it puts the finished piece in front of the right person, with the reply already written.
Your people work in FreighAI. Not in the inbox. Not in five browser tabs. Shipthis keeps the record, the ledger and the warehouse.
This is where the per-seat question answers itself. Nothing above asks for another person at another desk. Same team. 5x more business. Four places a Shipthis team will recognise it:
- The enquiry that arrives before a quotation exists, answered on its own thread.
- The rate request to every agent on a lane you do not hold, sent in one go and chased.
- The counter-offer, drafted the moment the customer says the price is too high.
- The carrier bill in an attachment, matched airway bill by airway bill before anybody books it.
One screen. The thread, the task and the drafted reply.
An enquiry lands in pricing@ long before a quotation exists in Shipthis. This is where it ends up: one task with one name on it, the conversation beside it, and the answer written.
- Assigned, not forwardedWrites the reply, creates the task, and puts it in front of the right person in the right department, beside the original conversation.
- The legwork is donePulls your rate cards, checks the carrier, looks up the customer’s history, reads the shipment status, and talks to your TMS or accounting system.
- Your team decidesYour team approves every reply before it sends.
Keep Shipthis, or move on.
You can keep the system you run today and add FreighAI around it, or move on from it and let FreighAI be your main system. Start with pricing and operations either way, and add the rest when you are ready.
Keep Shipthis. Add FreighAI around it.
Every module you licensed carries on doing its job. FreighAI works the mail that arrives before a module is opened, then hands it over as a finished task with one name on it.
- The shipment record, the quotation, the tariff, the ledger, the warehouse and the portal are untouched.
- The enquiry that lands in pricing@ is read, priced and drafted before anyone opens a module.
- Agents on a lane you do not hold are emailed together and chased without anyone remembering.
- The carrier bill is checked airway bill by airway bill before it is booked.
- A busier month is worked before it reaches a desk, so it is not another seat.
Move on from Shipthis. FreighAI becomes your main system.
If your team barely opens the modules you pay for, the other door is worth costing. FreighAI can be the system they work in, starting with pricing and operations, while Shipthis keeps running until the rest is ready.
- The Quotation module and the quotation history in the CRM. The quote is drafted on the arriving thread.
- The shipment record, once a won quote becomes a job by itself.
- Tracking replies to the customer who writes rather than opening the portal.
- Checking the carrier bill against the job.
- Chasing payment, which happens on its own.
- The everyday accounts: invoicing, what you owe and what you are owed.
- Customs. FreighAI files nothing, so declarations and self-filing stay in your system or with your broker.
- The warehouse, unless you run Binsy, the FreighAI warehouse product, which runs together with FreighAI.
- eAWB submission and trade messaging to carriers.
- The white-labelled portal, if your customers use it for quotes and tracking.
- The books your accountant signs off, and whatever your auditor asks for.
- The Vendor Portal, and the approval workflow for posted invoices, costings and quotations.
- How long have you paid for Shipthis?
If you signed up recently and the modules are earning it, keep them and put FreighAI on the mail. If the plan has renewed a few times and the day has not changed, price the second door.
- Who actually opens the modules?
Name the people and the screens. If most of your team lives in mail and one person types the result into Shipthis, you are paying for seats to do data entry.
- What would go missing if you moved on?
This page gives Shipthis customs, the warehouse, eAWB and trade messaging, the portal and the ledger. Each one needs a home before anything moves.
- What do your contract and your data allow?
Ask your supplier in writing when the plan renews, what leaving costs, and how your data comes back to you and in what format. We cannot answer any of it for you.
On its own, FreighAI runs your enquiries, quotes, jobs, tracking replies, carrier bills, payment follow-ups and your accounts. FreighAI does not file customs declarations. It treats customs as a service provider or agent, and your team adds and updates the filing details by hand.
Which parts of FreighAI would a Shipthis team use?
Quotation Agent
The enquiry arrives by email or WhatsApp, before a quotation exists in any module. FreighAI spots what is missing in an enquiry and drafts the email asking for it. It emails all your agents for a lane in one go, with the route and charge lines filled in, then chases the ones who do not reply. It suggests a price from what that customer paid on that lane before, within your margin rules. When the customer pushes back on price, a counter-offer is drafted and waits for approval. Your Quotation and Tariff modules stay where the charge lines and the margin live.
Booking and Job Orders Agent
A won quote becomes a job on its own, fully filled in. A confirmation landing in operations@ becomes a task for whoever owns the thread rather than being typed in twice.
Tracking Agent
FreighAI answers “where is my cargo?” on the customer’s own thread, from carrier status, for approval. Shipthis already notifies by desktop, email, SMS and WhatsApp, and its portal serves any customer willing to open it. This is for the one who simply writes to you.
Invoice Reconciliation
FreighAI reads a carrier bill and matches every airway bill back to its job, checking line by line before it is booked. Reads PDF, Excel, Word, forwarded email, WhatsApp messages, photos and scans. The Freight Accounting module keeps the ledger and the reconciliation. FreighAI checks the bill first.
Pick the one workflow your team still does entirely by hand. On most Shipthis teams that is the international enquiry.
What happens to one enquiry
Quotation is the first workflow here, because the enquiry is the part of the day no module reaches until somebody carries it in.
An enquiry arrives. FreighAI reads it, notices the weight is missing and asks for it. It pulls your rate cards, checks the carrier for a live rate, and emails your agents for the lanes you do not hold, then chases them until they reply. It drafts the quote with your margin rules and what that customer paid on that lane last time. Your pricer approves and it goes. It follows up. When the customer pushes back, the counter-offer is already drafted. When the quote is old, it expires. When it is won, the job is created.
Where the rate can be fetched without waiting on a person — a carrier API, a portal read in the background, or your own uploaded rate cards — a priced quote goes out in 10–15 minutes instead of 1–2 hours. That holds for ocean and air just as it does for express; the mode does not change it. Where a lane has to be priced by another agent or over the phone, the wait belongs to whoever is answering — not to the software. FreighAI still writes the RFQ, chases the reply, and turns whatever comes back into a priced, margin-checked quote the moment it lands.
The scope then settles what approved information belongs in Shipthis. Nothing here assumes a connection or a field written for you. We scope the first workflow, integration requirements and implementation plan with your team.

- Decision required
- How is each metered add-on counted?
Nothing here is a Shipthis connection. Every silence describes what Shipthis had published on 3 September 2026.
Does this mean paying twice?
Shipthis publishes its price, so this question can be asked early and answered plainly.
Two products overlap when they do the same job. The Shipthis plan buys modules: the shipment record, the quotation and the tariff, the accounting, the warehouse, the CRM. FreighAI sells none of those. It works the mail that arrives before a module is opened.
The second half is about headcount, and it matters more. If the only way to handle more enquiries is another person at another seat, every growth plan is a hiring plan. Whichever door you take, the mail is worked before it reaches a desk, so a busier month is not another seat.
Two things are then worth checking in their own material rather than a sales deck:
- The pricing page, for what the plan includes and which add-ons are metered. A list price moves, and ours was read on 3 September 2026.
- The trade compliance page, which describes self-filing but names no authority.
You already pay for Shipthis by the seat. So where does FreighAI fit?
Shipment lifecycle, quotation and tariff, accounting, warehouse and the portal stay where they are. Nothing asks you to move them.
The arriving enquiry, the agent chase, the counter-offer and the carrier bill are worked first, then handed over as tasks.
Track and trace, trade messaging and eAWB are billed per transaction on their own pricing page. Ask how each is counted.
The objections we hear most
“We already pay for all the modules. Why add anything?”
Because the modules are not where the day goes. Your plan buys the shipment record, the quotation, the tariff, the accounting, the warehouse and the CRM, at $89 per user per month for all modules, checked 3 September 2026. It does not buy someone to read the enquiry that arrives at nine, ask for the weight nobody sent, and chase four agents on Thursday. That work is not described in Shipthis’ published material, checked September 2026. Your people are doing it right now.
“Do we have to add seats to fix the email?”
No, and that is the whole argument. Same team. 5x more business. Infinity Logistics quoted 70% more shipments with the same five-person team, comparing Q4 2024 with Q4 2025. Work arrives already read, priced and drafted, so the answer to a busier month stops being another hire at another desk. That is one customer’s attributed result rather than a guarantee.
“Shipthis CRM already handles our email.”
It handles a real part of it, and this page says so. Their CRM keeps leads, quotations and emails in one place and sends quotations, invoices and shipment updates from templates. Every one of those is mail leaving a record you already created. FreighAI starts one step earlier, on the message that arrives first.
“Do we have to get rid of Shipthis?”
No. You can keep the system you run today and add FreighAI around it, or move on from it and let FreighAI be your main system. Start with pricing and operations either way, and add the rest when you are ready. Keep it and the record, the ledger, the warehouse and the portal stay where they are. Keep your TMS for the records. FreighAI runs the work around them. Move on and the scope is stated plainly. On its own, FreighAI runs your enquiries, quotes, jobs, tracking replies, carrier bills, payment follow-ups and your accounts. FreighAI does not file customs declarations. It treats customs as a service provider or agent, and your team adds and updates the filing details by hand. The warehouse, the portal, eAWB and trade messaging stay with Shipthis unless you find them another home.
“Is there a finished Shipthis connector?”
No, and no universal claim is made. Shipthis names API and EDI integrations as a module and publishes an API reference, which is where that conversation starts rather than where it finishes. We scope the first workflow, integration requirements and implementation plan with your team. What FreighAI can read or write back is stated for the chosen workflow.
Common questions
Can FreighAI be my main system instead of Shipthis?
Yes, for the work this page describes. On its own, FreighAI runs your enquiries, quotes, jobs, tracking replies, carrier bills, payment follow-ups and your accounts. The rest has to sit somewhere. FreighAI does not file customs declarations. It treats customs as a service provider or agent, and your team adds and updates the filing details by hand. So declarations, eAWB submission, trade messaging, the portal and the books your accountant signs off stay where they are. The warehouse is the exception: Binsy, the FreighAI warehouse product, runs together with FreighAI today. Start with pricing and operations and move the rest when you are ready.
Where does the $89 figure come from?
From the Shipthis pricing page itself, where the For Everyone plan is listed at $89 per user per month for all modules, checked 3 September 2026. Third-party listings show lower figures and are deliberately not used here, because they are not the vendor’s own pages. Check the live page before you budget, because a list price moves.
How do the transactional add-ons affect this?
They are worth understanding before any comparison. Their pricing page bills track and trace, trade messaging, eAWB submission, multi-branch, EDI and bank integration per transaction. Those are things a busy forwarder touches often, so ask how each is counted.
Can we run both while we are still on the free trial?
Shipthis publishes a 30-day free trial that needs no card, so the two are easy to look at side by side. On the FreighAI side there is no fixed pilot length and no published go-live promise. We scope the first workflow, integration requirements and implementation plan with your team.
Can FreighAI write into Shipthis?
That answer comes from the confirmed scope for the chosen workflow, not from this page. Shipthis lists API and EDI integrations as a module and publishes an API reference. A published reference is not a finished connection, and this page does not treat it as one.
Does a person still approve every reply?
Yes. Your team approves every reply before it sends. Your team approves. They do not compose, forward, file or chase. The reply goes out in their name. Chasing, tracking checks, quote expiry and follow-ups run on their own. Nobody has to remember. That differs from the Shipthis approval workflow, which routes posted invoices, costings and quotations inside the system. One approves a document. The other approves what leaves the company.

Any silence above describes only what Shipthis had published on 3 September 2026.
Send us the enquiry nobody wanted to open
Pick the ugliest thread in pricing@ from last week. A vague enquiry with a packing list attached, an agent who never replied, a customer pushing back on price. We will show what FreighAI would have read, asked, chased and drafted, and what each of the two doors would mean for it.
