Running Magaya? Keep it, or move on.
Keep your TMS for the records. FreighAI runs the work around them.
Magaya presents a broad platform: shipments and invoices in Magaya Supply Chain, rates and tariffs in Magaya Rate Management, ACE filings in Magaya Customs Compliance, and a branded portal for your customers. Keep all of that and FreighAI takes over the email around those records. Or move on from it and FreighAI becomes your main system.
Every email your company receives is read, understood and turned into a task for the right person, with the answer already drafted. Your team approves. Nobody lives in the inbox any more.

Pls quote for shipment as below. Confirmed pkg dims attached, IEC docs to follow…
- 01There are two ways in, and this page covers both. Keep Magaya, which holds your shipments, bookings, invoices, rates and tariffs, US customs filings and the customer portal, and add FreighAI around it. Or move on from it and make FreighAI your main system.
- 02Magaya already ships AI, and this page says so first. Quote Automation by Magaya takes an emailed quote request and returns carrier rates for US domestic inland LTL and FTL freight, on rates Magaya states it has negotiated. Its customs product carries named AI assistants for entry questions, invoice reading and HTS codes.
- 03The international enquiry is the part that is still done by hand. Reading an air or ocean enquiry email into a quotation, emailing and chasing your own agents for a lane you do not hold, and drafting the customer reply and the counter-offer for approval are not described in Magaya’s published material, checked September 2026.
- 04FreighAI works that inbox instead of your people. Each thread is followed to the end, the legwork behind it is done, and what lands on a desk is a task already written, with a name on it. The only step left is approval.
- 05You keep your own carrier accounts and negotiated rates. FreighAI never sits between you and your carrier relationship. FreighAI prices from your own rate cards and emails your own agents for the lanes you do not hold.
- 06There is no live Magaya connector and this page does not pretend there is one. We scope the first workflow, integration requirements and implementation plan with your team.
Your Magaya platform already carries important work
For a team on Magaya, most of the operating record may already sit in one place. Its published material describes creating bookings, pickup orders, warehouse receipts, shipments and invoices directly from quotes. Magaya Rate Management describes rate search and comparison, margins, allocation commitments, tariff filing, RFQ responses and multi-modal quotes. Magaya Customs Compliance is a US Customs-certified ABI platform for ACE filings, from ISF to entry summary, cargo release, in-bond and drawback. Magaya WMS covers receiving, put-away, picking and packing. The Digital Freight Portal serves your customers, and the Magaya Network moves shipment information from one agent to another.
That is a lot of ground, and a reason to draw the boundary carefully rather than call the platform old.
Now look at the part of the day that never reaches Magaya until a person carries it there. An air or ocean enquiry lands in pricing@ with the gross weight missing, and someone writes back to ask for it. Someone emails four agents for a rate on a lane you do not hold, then remembers to chase two of them. Someone builds the quote, someone follows up on Thursday, someone answers the customer who says the price is too high. A booking confirmation arrives in operations@ and a person keys it into the shipment. A carrier bill arrives in accounts@ and a person matches it.
Magaya is where the record ends up. The inbox is where that work happens. So look at your own week:
- Which enquiries and rate replies arrive before anything exists in Magaya?
- How many people touch a thread before a shipment record is created?
- Which chasers and follow-ups depend on somebody remembering?
- Which Magaya record has to stay the authoritative one?
Enquiries, agent rate replies, booking confirmations and carrier bills land here first, and a person carries each one onward.
Reads the thread, finds the rate, chases the agent, drafts the reply and hands a finished task to the right person.
Shipments, bookings, warehouse receipts and invoices, rates and tariffs, ACE filings and the customer portal.
What would change with FreighAI?
FreighAI takes over that inbox. It watches every company mailbox, pricing, operations, tracking and accounts, and follows each conversation from start to finish. It works out what each email is and what it needs, then takes the action that message calls for. Follow-ups, chasers and reminders happen on their own, on the same conversation. Your people work in FreighAI, not in the inbox.
The email is only the start. The real time goes on what comes after it. Find the rate on the carrier’s site. Check the tracking in another tab. Open the TMS for the job. Look up what you charged this customer last time. Forward it to operations and wait. Chase the agent, or forget to. FreighAI does all of that itself. It pulls your rate cards, checks the carrier, looks up the customer’s history, reads the shipment status, and talks to your TMS or accounting system. It chases what has not come back. It passes the work from pricing to operations to accounts, with the email and everything it found attached. Nobody forwards it. Nobody re-keys it. Nobody asks for an update. Then it puts the finished piece in front of the right person, with the reply already written.
Your people work in FreighAI. Not in the inbox. Not in five browser tabs. Magaya keeps the records.
One screen. The thread, the task and the drafted reply.
An international enquiry lands in pricing@ long before anything exists in Magaya. This is where it ends up: a task with a name on it, the thread it came from beside it, and the answer already written.
- Assigned, not forwardedWrites the reply, creates the task, and puts it in front of the right person in the right department, beside the original conversation.
- The legwork is donePulls your rate cards, checks the carrier, looks up the customer’s history, reads the shipment status, and talks to your TMS or accounting system.
- Your team decidesYour team approves every reply before it sends.
Keep Magaya, or move on.
You can keep the system you run today and add FreighAI around it, or move on from it and let FreighAI be your main system. Start with pricing and operations either way, and add the rest when you are ready.
Keep Magaya. Add FreighAI around it.
Magaya stays the record. FreighAI works the email around it: the enquiry, the agent chase, the booking confirmation, the carrier bill. Your team approves what goes out.
- Magaya Supply Chain keeps the bookings, shipments, warehouse receipts and invoices.
- Magaya Rate Management keeps your rates, margins, allocations and tariff filings.
- Magaya Customs Compliance keeps your ACE filings. FreighAI does nothing there.
- FreighAI reads pricing@, operations@, tracking@ and accounts@, drafts the reply and hands a named task to the right person.
- No Magaya connector is live, so what passes between the two is agreed in scope.
Move on from Magaya. FreighAI becomes your main system.
If Magaya is not earning its place, FreighAI can be your main system instead. Start with pricing and operations, then bring the accounts across. A few things still have to sit somewhere.
- Quotes and the enquiry work. FreighAI reads the email, prices it and drafts the reply.
- Bookings and job records. A won quote becomes the job in FreighAI.
- Tracking answers for the customers who email you instead of logging in.
- Carrier bill checking, and the payment chasing that follows it.
- The day-to-day accounts, which FreighAI runs on its own.
- Customs filing. FreighAI does not file ACE entries or look up duty, so that stays with Magaya Customs Compliance or your broker.
- The warehouse. Receiving, picking and packing stay in Magaya WMS, unless you run Binsy, the FreighAI warehouse product, with it.
- Statutory books. Bank reconciliation, accruals and provisions stay with your accountant.
- A portal for customers who want to log in. FreighAI answers the ones who write to you.
- Agent-to-agent shipment exchange, if you use the Magaya Network for it.
- Inland LTL and FTL quoting from Magaya's US domestic rates, if that is your traffic. FreighAI works the international air and ocean enquiry instead.
- How long have you had Magaya?
If you went live recently, keep it. The team is still learning it and the money is spent. If it has been years, the second door is worth costing.
- Does your team work in Magaya, or around it?
Watch one Tuesday. If the day happens in Magaya screens, keep it. If the day happens in email and somebody types the result into Magaya later, you are paying for two systems.
- What would you lose?
Write down what only Magaya does for you: ACE filings, the warehouse, the customer portal, the books. Those have to sit somewhere either way. A long list is a reason to keep it.
- What do your contract and your data say?
Ask your Magaya account manager three things before you decide: when the term ends, what notice you owe, and how you would get your own data out.
On its own, FreighAI runs your enquiries, quotes, jobs, tracking replies, carrier bills, payment follow-ups and your accounts. FreighAI does not file customs declarations. It treats customs as a service provider or agent, and your team adds and updates the filing details by hand.
Which parts of FreighAI might a Magaya team use?
Quotation Agent
The enquiry arrives by email or WhatsApp, before a quote exists anywhere. FreighAI spots what is missing in an enquiry and drafts the email asking for it. It emails all your agents for a lane in one go, with the route and charge lines filled in, then chases the ones who do not reply. When the customer pushes back on price, a counter-offer is drafted and waits for approval. Quotes expire on their own and can be revived if you want. Magaya Rate Management stays your rate, margin and tariff store. FreighAI is what happens on the thread either side of it.
Booking and Job Orders Agent
A won quote becomes a job on its own, fully filled in. A confirmation that lands in operations@ becomes a task for whoever owns the thread, rather than being keyed in twice. The boundary review decides what Magaya needs from that job.
Tracking Agent
FreighAI answers “where is my cargo?” on the customer’s own thread, from carrier status, for approval. The Digital Freight Portal already serves anyone willing to log in. This covers the customers who simply write to you.
Invoice Reconciliation
FreighAI reads a carrier bill and matches every airway bill back to its job, checking line by line before it is booked. Magaya keeps the billing and the accounting connection. Whether the approved result returns to Magaya is settled in technical scope, not assumed here.
Start with the international enquiry your Magaya team still prices by hand. Nobody needs every FreighAI area for the first workflow to be worth doing.
What happens to one enquiry
Quotation is the first workflow here, because the enquiry is the piece of the day a Magaya team still does entirely by hand.
An enquiry arrives. FreighAI reads it, notices the weight is missing and asks for it. It pulls your rate cards, checks the carrier for a live rate, and emails your agents for the lanes you do not hold, then chases them until they reply. It drafts the quote with your margin rules and what that customer paid on that lane last time. Your pricer approves and it goes. It follows up. When the customer pushes back, the counter-offer is already drafted. When the quote is old, it expires. When it is won, the job is created.
Where the rate can be fetched without waiting on a person — a carrier API, a portal read in the background, or your own uploaded rate cards — a priced quote goes out in 10–15 minutes instead of 1–2 hours. That holds for ocean and air just as it does for express; the mode does not change it. Where a lane has to be priced by another agent or over the phone, the wait belongs to whoever is answering — not to the software. FreighAI still writes the RFQ, chases the reply, and turns whatever comes back into a priced, margin-checked quote the moment it lands.
The scope then defines what approved information belongs in Magaya and how it gets there. We scope the first workflow, integration requirements and implementation plan with your team.

Read this table as the outline of a scoping conversation, not as a list of Magaya connections.
The objections we hear most
“Magaya already automates quoting. Why would we need this?”
Because the two cover different freight. Quote Automation by Magaya is described for US domestic inland LTL and FTL, on rates Magaya states it has negotiated. If that is your traffic, use it. FreighAI works the international air and ocean enquiry, priced from your own rate cards, carrier accounts and agents. Different mode, different rate ownership. Both can be true at once.
“Will this duplicate features we already pay for?”
It could, if the first workflow overlaps with what Quote Automation by Magaya already handles. Start instead where a person still reads an email and types: the missing detail, the agent chase, the drafted reply, the customer who pushes back. If Magaya already solves a workflow well, that is not the starting point.
“Do you make us throw Magaya out?”
No. You can keep the system you run today and add FreighAI around it, or move on from it and let FreighAI be your main system. Start with pricing and operations either way, and add the rest when you are ready. On its own, FreighAI runs your enquiries, quotes, jobs, tracking replies, carrier bills, payment follow-ups and your accounts. Customs filing stays with Magaya either way.
“Is there a finished Magaya connector?”
No, and no universal claim is made. What FreighAI can read from or return to Magaya is stated for the chosen workflow, with its objects, direction, access and limits written down. We scope the first workflow, integration requirements and implementation plan with your team. A logo on a page is not technical certainty.
“How quickly can we go live?”
That depends on the workflow, the access, the sample data, the approval rules and what the connection has to support. FreighAI publishes no fixed pilot length or go-live promise. The implementation plan follows the scope.
Common questions
Can FreighAI be my main system instead of Magaya?
On its own, FreighAI runs your enquiries, quotes, jobs, tracking replies, carrier bills, payment follow-ups and your accounts. FreighAI does not file customs declarations. It treats customs as a service provider or agent, and your team adds and updates the filing details by hand. ACE entries stay with Magaya Customs Compliance or your broker.
Do we have to move data out of Magaya?
Not automatically. A first workflow may need only selected current context, or it may run alongside Magaya on its own. Anything that has to move is named and justified during scope.
Can FreighAI write into Magaya?
That answer comes from the confirmed scope for the chosen workflow. This page deliberately does not invent read or write behaviour. Magaya Connect describes an open API framework and pre-built connectors, which is where that conversation starts. A framework is not a finished connection.
Which workflow should a Magaya team start with?
Start where work enters by email or WhatsApp, moves between people, or waits for somebody to remember. The international enquiry is the usual candidate, though booking confirmations, tracking questions or carrier bills may matter more for your team.
What about the AI assistants inside Magaya Customs Compliance?
They stay where they are. Magaya describes assistants that answer questions on entries and CBP topics, read a PDF or spreadsheet invoice into the fields, and suggest HTS codes. FreighAI does not file customs entries or look up duty. Those assistants work inside a filing. FreighAI works on the customer’s email.
Does a person still check every reply before it goes?
Yes. Your team approves every reply before it sends. Your team approves. They do not compose, forward, file or chase. The reply goes out in their name. Chasing, tracking checks, quote expiry and follow-ups run on their own. Nobody has to remember. The supervision rules for each workflow are shown during the demonstration.
Does our team have to stop using email?
Nobody gives up email. Your people simply stop living in it. Agents and customers keep writing to the same addresses, and FreighAI brings each thread into the task screen with the reply already drafted.

Bring one Magaya thread from last week
Bring one real thread: an enquiry, an agent rate reply, a booking confirmation or a carrier bill. We will show what FreighAI would have read, asked, drafted and assigned, what stays in Magaya, where your team approves, and what the connection would have to support.
