Running GoFreight? Keep it, or move on.

Keep your TMS for the records. FreighAI runs the work around them.

GoFreight publishes an all-in-one forwarding platform for ocean and air, with US entry filing, carrier milestones, a customer portal, billing and its own AI. This page argues with none of that. It answers two questions: what FreighAI adds if you keep GoFreight, and what changes if you move on from it.

Every email your company receives is read, understood and turned into a task for the right person, with the answer already drafted. Your team approves. Nobody lives in the inbox any more.

Read this first
  1. 01There are two ways in, and this page covers both. Keep GoFreight and add FreighAI around the email work, or move on from GoFreight and let FreighAI be your main system.
  2. 02GoFreight is a real platform, not a legacy system. Its published material covers the ocean and air shipment record, consolidation, house and master bills, documents, US entry filing, carrier milestones, a branded customer portal, billing and agent settlement. If it runs your jobs well, keep it.
  3. 03GoFreight also ships AI, and we say so plainly. Its pages name Action Center, GoNexus Email Intake, GoNexus Hub and AI rate ingestion, and state they sit inside the standard subscription.
  4. 04The difference is what the AI produces. GoFreight's email intake reads a message and creates or updates the shipment record. FreighAI reads the thread, does the work the answer needs, writes the reply, and hands a finished task to a named person to approve.
  5. 05So the gap is not intake. It is the outbound answer. Asking for the detail that is missing, emailing every agent for a lane and chasing them, pricing from what that customer paid last time, drafting the counter-offer, and matching a carrier bill line by line back to its job are not described in GoFreight's published material, checked September 2026.
  6. 06Nothing here claims a GoFreight connector, and this site has no GoFreight integration page, because there is no confirmed connection to describe. Bring one real thread from last week and we will show you the difference on it.
Your day, as it is now

What your GoFreight operation already holds

Start with what is covered, because that decides where FreighAI should not go. GoFreight's published material describes one record for the whole job across ocean and air, with FCL, LCL and consolidation, house and master bill pairing, and documents generated from the shipment. Its customs pages describe every US entry type transmitted through a CBP-certified ABI pipeline, with ISF, AMS, AES and duty, tax and fee calculation. Its operations pages describe container events tracked to empty return, milestone to-do lists and demurrage alerts. Its portal carries your branding, live status, documents and invoices. Its billing pages describe invoices populated from the shipment, margin by job, agent settlement and receivables, with a QuickBooks connector and an open REST API.

It ships AI too. GoFreight's own pages name Action Center, which gathers shipments and tasks and answers prompts written in plain language; GoNexus Email Intake, which reads operational emails and creates or updates shipments; GoNexus Hub for reading shipping documents; and AI rate ingestion, which parses an uploaded rate card, spreadsheet or email into the rate database. That breadth is a reason to draw the boundary carefully, not a reason to call the platform thin.

Now look at the hours that never reach any of it. An enquiry lands in pricing@ with a packing list and no chargeable weight, so someone writes back to ask. Someone emails four agents for the lane you do not hold and remembers to chase two of them. Someone works out the price from what that customer paid in March, drafts the quote, follows up on Monday, and writes the counter-offer when the number comes back as high. A customer writes to tracking@ instead of opening the portal. A carrier bill lands in accounts@ and a person checks it against the jobs, line by line.

GoFreight is where the record ends up. The inbox is where that work is done. So ask about your own week:

The test

Count the emails your team answered last week that never became a GoFreight shipment. That number is the size of the gap.

  • Which enquiries arrive by email or WhatsApp before any shipment exists in GoFreight?
  • How many people touch a thread before a quote goes out?
  • Which chasers depend on somebody remembering, rather than a milestone firing?
  • Which customers write in instead of opening the portal you already pay for?
Where each sits
The inboxWhere the work arrives

Enquiries, agent rate replies, booking confirmations, tracking questions and carrier bills, across pricing, operations, tracking and accounts.

FreighAIWhere the work is done

Reads each thread, does the legwork behind the answer, drafts the reply, and hands a finished task to the right person to approve.

GoFreightWhere the record lives

Ocean and air shipments, bills, documents, US entry filing, carrier milestones, the customer portal, billing and settlement.

One job, three layers
Three layers on one job. The arrow between the middle and the bottom is agreed during scoping, not assumed here.
What changes

What changes once the email work moves

That is the part FreighAI takes on. It watches every company mailbox, pricing, operations, tracking and accounts, and follows each conversation from start to finish. It works out what each email is and what it needs, then takes the action that message calls for. It writes the reply, creates the task, and puts it in front of the right person in the right department, beside the original conversation. Your team approves. They do not compose, forward, file or chase. The reply goes out in their name.

The email is only the start. The real time goes on what comes after it. Find the rate on the carrier’s site. Check the tracking in another tab. Open the TMS for the job. Look up what you charged this customer last time. Forward it to operations and wait. Chase the agent, or forget to. FreighAI does all of that itself. It pulls your rate cards, checks the carrier, looks up the customer’s history, reads the shipment status, and talks to your TMS or accounting system. It chases what has not come back. It passes the work from pricing to operations to accounts, with the email and everything it found attached. Nobody forwards it. Nobody re-keys it. Nobody asks for an update. Then it puts the finished piece in front of the right person, with the reply already written.

Where the two genuinely overlap

Both read inbound email with AI. Both read documents and rate cards from a PDF, a spreadsheet or a photo. Both raise tasks. Pretending otherwise would be disproved in the first demonstration, so here is the real line. GoFreight's intake turns a message into a shipment record, and its tasks fire from a milestone. FreighAI's output is not a record. It is finished work: the answer written, the missing detail asked for, the agents chased, in front of a named person, beside the thread it came from.

Your people work in FreighAI. Not in the inbox. Not in five browser tabs. GoFreight keeps the shipment, the filing, the milestones, the portal and the books.

THE FIRST WORKFLOW

The enquiry lands. The quote is already written.

This is the moment before GoFreight has anything to hold: an enquiry in pricing@ or on WhatsApp, with no shipment and no record yet. It is the cheapest place to start, because nothing is taken away from anyone.

  • Reads the enquiry
Spots what is missing in an enquiry and drafts the email asking for it.
  • Chases your agents
Emails all your agents for a lane in one go, with the route and charge lines filled in, then chases the ones who do not reply.
  • Prices from history
Suggests a price from what that customer paid on that lane before, within your margin rules.
Two ways in

Keep GoFreight, or move on.

You can keep the system you run today and add FreighAI around it, or move on from it and let FreighAI be your main system. Start with pricing and operations either way, and add the rest when you are ready.

Keep GoFreight. Add FreighAI around it.

This is the door the rest of the page describes. GoFreight holds the record. FreighAI works the mail around it and hands your people finished tasks.

What this looks like
  • The enquiry in pricing@ is read and the missing weight is asked for, before GoFreight has a shipment to hold.
  • Your agents are emailed for the lanes you do not hold, and the quiet ones are chased.
  • The customer who writes to tracking@ instead of opening your portal gets an answer, ready for approval.
  • The carrier bill is checked against its job, line by line, before anyone books it.
  • A won quote becomes a job, and the agreed hand-off carries it into GoFreight.

Move on from GoFreight. FreighAI becomes your main system.

Some teams would rather run one system than two. FreighAI can do the work and keep the record, so you move on from GoFreight. Start with pricing and operations, and bring the rest across when you are ready.

What you stop using
  • The quoting screens: rate cards, quote documents, and the list of quotes that are sent, won or expired.
  • The ocean and air job record, which FreighAI builds from the won quote.
  • Tracking chasers and the replies to customers asking where their cargo is.
  • Carrier bill checking, and chasing the customers who have not paid.
  • Invoicing and the accounts.
What you still need somewhere
  • US entry filing. FreighAI does not file entries, so that stays with your broker or your filing channel.
  • Duty and HS code lookup, which FreighAI does not do either.
  • The carrier and agent EDI links your bookings and milestones ride on today.
  • A customer self-service portal, if your customers log in to one and want to keep it.
  • Statutory books. The ledger, agent settlement, multi-currency and the QuickBooks connector stay with GoFreight or your accountant.
How to decide
  1. How long have you had GoFreight?

If you went live in the last year or two, keep it and add FreighAI around it. If it has been years and your team still works around it, price the second door.

  2. Does your team work in it, or around it?

Count last week's emails that never became a GoFreight shipment. If most of the day happens in the inbox, the record is not where the work is.

  3. What would you give up?

Entry filing, duty lookup, the branded portal and the carrier feeds. Name the person or the system that picks up each one before you move.

  4. What do your contract and your data say?

Two questions to ask your vendor, before anything is decided. When can you leave, and how do you get your shipment and invoice history out in a form you can use?

On its own, FreighAI runs your enquiries, quotes, jobs, tracking replies, carrier bills, payment follow-ups and your accounts. FreighAI does not file customs declarations. It treats customs as a service provider or agent, and your team adds and updates the filing details by hand.

The parts you would use

Which parts would a GoFreight team use first?

Quotation Agent

The enquiry arrives before GoFreight has a shipment to hold. FreighAI spots what is missing in an enquiry and drafts the email asking for it. It emails all your agents for a lane in one go, with the route and charge lines filled in, then chases the ones who do not reply. It suggests a price from what that customer paid on that lane before, within your margin rules. When the customer pushes back on price, a counter-offer is drafted and waits for approval.

Invoice Reconciliation

FreighAI reads a carrier bill and matches every airway bill back to its job, checking line by line before it is booked. GoFreight's billing pages describe charges flowing out of the shipment onto your customer invoice; reading the carrier's bill back the other way is not described in GoFreight's published material, checked September 2026.

Tracking Agent

FreighAI answers “where is my cargo?” on the customer’s own thread, from carrier status, for approval. Your portal already serves the customers who log in. This is for the ones who write to tracking@ instead, which in most forwarding businesses is still most of them.

Pick the one attached to a real burden in your inbox. Nobody needs all three for the first workflow to be worth doing.

One enquiry, start to finish

What happens to one enquiry

Quotation is the usual first workflow for a GoFreight team, because the enquiry arrives before the platform has a shipment to hold.

An enquiry arrives. FreighAI reads it, notices the weight is missing and asks for it. It pulls your rate cards, checks the carrier for a live rate, and emails your agents for the lanes you do not hold, then chases them until they reply. It drafts the quote with your margin rules and what that customer paid on that lane last time. Your pricer approves and it goes. It follows up. When the customer pushes back, the counter-offer is already drafted. When the quote is old, it expires. When it is won, the job is created.

Where the rate can be fetched without waiting on a person — a carrier API, a portal read in the background, or your own uploaded rate cards — a priced quote goes out in 10–15 minutes instead of 1–2 hours. That holds for ocean and air just as it does for express; the mode does not change it. Where a lane has to be priced by another agent or over the phone, the wait belongs to whoever is answering — not to the software. FreighAI still writes the RFQ, chases the reply, and turns whatever comes back into a priced, margin-checked quote the moment it lands.

Scoping then decides what approved information belongs in GoFreight and how it gets there. Nothing here assumes a connection. We scope the first workflow, integration requirements and implementation plan with your team.

The boundary

What stays in GoFreight, what FreighAI adds and what must be scoped?

A discovery structure for your own operation, not a connector specification.

  1. Shipment records
    Stays in GoFreight
Ocean and air jobs, FCL, LCL and consolidation, house and master bills, documents
    FreighAI adds
A won quote becomes a job on its own; the agreed hand-off carries it across
    Decision required
Which record and identifier anchors the first workflow?
  2. US customs filing
    Stays in GoFreight
US customs filing through a CBP-certified ABI pipeline. GoFreight marks ISF 10+2, AMS and AES as live today, with further entry types and duty calculation described as coming at launch
    FreighAI adds
Nothing. FreighAI does not file entries and does not look up duty or HS codes
    Decision required
Does the first workflow need entry status as context for a reply?
  3. Rates and quoting
    Stays in GoFreight
Contract and spot rates, AI rate ingestion from an uploaded card, branded quote PDFs, quotes moving through sent, won and expired
    FreighAI adds
Reads the enquiry itself, asks for what is missing, emails and chases your agents, prices from that customer's history, drafts the counter-offer. Not described in GoFreight's published material, checked September 2026
    Decision required
Which rate sources does the demonstration use, and where does the approved quote land?
  4. Documents
    Stays in GoFreight
House bills, arrival notices, invoices, packing lists and delivery orders; GoNexus Hub reads shipping documents into the file
    FreighAI adds
Reads PDF, Excel, Word, forwarded email, WhatsApp messages, photos and scans.
    Decision required
Which documents may FreighAI read, and who approves anything it drafts?
  5. Customers who write in
    Stays in GoFreight
The branded portal, milestone notifications and scheduled reports
    FreighAI adds
Answers the tracking question on the customer's own thread, from carrier status, for approval
    Decision required
Who approves those replies, and where is the exchange recorded?
  6. Billing and books
    Stays in GoFreight
Invoices from the shipment, margin by job, agent settlement, multi-currency, receivables, the QuickBooks connector
    FreighAI adds
Reads the carrier bill and checks every airway bill against its job, line by line, before it is booked
    Decision required
Does the checked result return to GoFreight, and who signs it off?
  7. Tasks and hand-offs
    Stays in GoFreight
Milestone to-do lists, Action Center, and the memo system on the bill
    FreighAI adds
Work passes from pricing to operations to accounts with the email and everything it found attached. Nobody forwards it, re-keys it or asks for an update.
    Decision required
Which hand-off between pricing, operations and accounts hurts most today?
  8. Where your team works
    Stays in GoFreight
GoFreight screens for the record and the filing
    FreighAI adds
Your people work in FreighAI, not in the inbox. Each thread sits beside the task it created
    Decision required
Which mailbox comes first, and who owns it?

Fair questions

The objections we hear most

01

“GoFreight already has AI. Why add more?”

Because the two do different jobs. GoFreight's AI keeps the record current: an email becomes a shipment, a document goes into the file, a rate card goes into the database. FreighAI produces the answer that goes back out, and does the work behind it. Give both one enquiry with a missing weight and no rate on file, then compare what is in front of your pricer twenty minutes later.

02

“Will this duplicate what we already pay for?”

It will, if the first workflow is chosen carelessly. Entry filing, milestones, the portal, invoicing and settlement are not places to start. Start where the work is still done by hand in the inbox: reading the enquiry, chasing agents, drafting the quote and the counter-offer, answering the customer who writes in. If GoFreight already does a workflow well, that is the wrong starting point.

03

“Are you asking us to leave GoFreight?”

Only if you want to, and most teams do not. Keep your TMS for the records. FreighAI runs the work around them. The other door is open too. You can keep the system you run today and add FreighAI around it, or move on from it and let FreighAI be your main system. Start with pricing and operations either way, and add the rest when you are ready. If you take it, you stop using GoFreight for enquiries, quotes, jobs, tracking replies, carrier bills, payment follow-ups and the accounts, and US entry filing still happens with your broker. Either way it is your decision, made on your own numbers.

04

“Is there a finished GoFreight integration?”

No universal claim is made, and this site carries no GoFreight integration page for that reason. GoFreight publishes a REST API with webhooks and developer documentation, so the ingredients are public. What FreighAI would read or return for your workflow is stated with its objects, direction, access and limits during scoping. We scope the first workflow, integration requirements and implementation plan with your team.

Questions

Common questions

01

Can FreighAI be my main system instead of GoFreight?

Yes, for the work and the money. On its own, FreighAI runs your enquiries, quotes, jobs, tracking replies, carrier bills, payment follow-ups and your accounts. FreighAI does not file customs declarations. It treats customs as a service provider or agent, and your team adds and updates the filing details by hand. So US entry filing stays with your broker or your filing channel, and the two ways in section above lists what you would stop using and what you would still need.

02

How is this different from GoNexus Email Intake?

GoNexus Email Intake reads an operational email and creates or updates a shipment in GoFreight. FreighAI reads the whole conversation, does the legwork the reply needs, writes that reply, and assigns it as a task to a person in the right department. One keeps the record current. The other finishes the work and waits for approval.

03

Can FreighAI write into GoFreight?

That answer comes from the confirmed scope of your first workflow, not from this page. GoFreight publishes a REST API with webhooks, which is where the conversation starts. Until the objects and limits are agreed and written down, this page makes no read or write claim.

04

Does our team stop using email?

Your people stop working in the inbox. They do not stop using email. Customers, agents and carriers still write to your addresses, and replies still go out from them. FreighAI brings those threads into the task screen, where the answer is already drafted.

05

Which workflow should a GoFreight customer start with?

Start where work enters by email, passes between people, or waits for somebody to remember. Quotation is the usual candidate, because the enquiry arrives before a shipment exists. Carrier bill checking is the second, because reading the bill back against the job is not described in GoFreight's published material, checked September 2026.

06

Are replies sent without anyone reading them?

No. Your team approves every reply before it sends. Your team approves. They do not compose, forward, file or chase. The reply goes out in their name. Follow-ups, chasers and reminders happen on their own, on the same conversation.

Sources

No GoFreight outcome percentage, customer count or ranking claim is repeated here, and no GoFreight price is stated. Where GoFreight is said not to describe something, that is limited to its published material on 3 September 2026.
