FreighAI vs Freightify

Both products help a forwarder answer an enquiry with a price. Freightify starts from the rate. Find it, keep it current, apply the margin, put it in a quote or on a portal.

FreighAI starts from the email that asked for it. Every email your company receives is read, understood and turned into a task for the right person, with the answer already drafted. Your team approves. Nobody lives in the inbox any more.

Freightify does one thing FreighAI does not do at all, and this page says so plainly. Every Freightify statement below was checked against its own published pages on 3 September 2026.

  1. 01Freightify is a rate platform. Its own headline says so. Rates are gathered, kept current, given a margin and turned into a quote.
  2. 02It is strong where that spine runs. Thirty or more ocean carriers and NVOCCs, ninety or more airlines, margin rules that hold across branches and offices, and a branded portal your customers log into themselves.
  3. 03The portal is real ground Freightify holds. FreighAI does not offer a customer self-service portal. That stays with whatever you use for it today.
  4. 04QuoteAI, the AI product, quotes from inside your inbox. FreighAI works instead of the inbox: every company mailbox, every department, each conversation turned into a task for a named person with the reply already written.
  5. 05The other difference is what happens after the quote. FreighAI carries the same conversation into booking, tracking answers, carrier bills and collection.
  6. 06Bring the same three enquiries and one real email thread to both demonstrations. Judge the work, not the slogans.
About Freightify

What Freightify does well

Freightify presents a clear, well-documented rate platform. Its published promise is to centralise rate procurement, management and distribution across a forwarding business. Quoting, a white-label customer portal, tracking, analytics, a contract reader and a rate API sit around that spine. A forwarder whose real complaint is that nobody knows which rate is current has a straightforward product to evaluate.

Rate supply, in real breadth

Freightify publishes coverage of 30 or more ocean carriers and NVOCCs and 90 or more airlines, across ocean, air, road and rail, door to door through port to port. Rates arrive by manual entry, bulk upload, agent authorisation, API and rate sheet. Demurrage, detention, surcharges and ancillary charges are carried into the quote. FreighAI does not present rate procurement as a separate platform area at that depth.

Margin rules that hold across offices

Margins are applied by rule at product, group, company and port-pair level, and globally across shippers, rate providers, liners, origins and destinations. Its AI quoting product adds profit safeguards by branch, customer, trade lane or agent, with audit visibility into how and why a quote was created. For a forwarder with several offices pricing the same lane differently, that is a genuine strength and it is more publicly detailed than FreighAI's.

A white-label customer portal

Your logo, your theme, your address. Customers search live contract and spot rates, submit enquiries, place bookings, upload documents and track their own cargo, at any hour, without anyone on your side touching it. The forwarder can also see which rates customers searched for. FreighAI does not do this, and a self-service portal is not a small thing to give up.

A published API and a published plan structure

The rate API returns live carrier rates and schedules in one JSON format and connects to a forwarder's own transport, rate or customer system, with public schema pages. The pricing page names three plans and what each one includes. These are Freightify's own product claims. This comparison does not repeat its published speed, cost, win-ratio or scale figures, because the evidence behind them has not been independently reviewed for this page.

Partial overlap

One is a rate platform. The other is where the work happens.

The two meet on rates and quoting, and that overlap is real. They are not the same job. Freightify's spine is the rate. FreighAI's spine is the email that arrives, whatever department it belongs to, and everything that has to happen before a person can answer it. A forwarder can genuinely run both. A forwarder choosing one is choosing which problem is the bigger one.

Where the products overlap and differ

Inside the inbox, or instead of it

The difference shows up in where your pricer sits, and in how much of the job carries on afterwards.

Freightify's AI product is QuoteAI. Its own line is that it generates quotes “right from your inbox”, pulling the shipment details out of the email, fetching carrier rates, applying the margin and sending the quote from there. In plain words: your pricer keeps the mailbox, and Freightify works inside it.

FreighAI works instead of the mailbox. It watches every company mailbox, pricing, operations, tracking and accounts, and follows each conversation from start to finish. It writes the reply, creates the task, and puts it in front of the right person in the right department, beside the original conversation. Your team approves. They do not compose, forward, file or chase. The reply goes out in their name.

The email is only the start. The real time goes on what comes after it. Find the rate on the carrier’s site. Check the tracking in another tab. Open the TMS for the job. Look up what you charged this customer last time. Forward it to operations and wait. Chase the agent, or forget to. FreighAI does all of that itself. It pulls your rate cards, checks the carrier, looks up the customer’s history, reads the shipment status, and talks to your TMS or accounting system. It chases what has not come back. It passes the work from pricing to operations to accounts, with the email and everything it found attached. Nobody forwards it. Nobody re-keys it. Nobody asks for an update. Then it puts the finished piece in front of the right person, with the reply already written.

What happens after the quote

Freightify's published scope after the quote is the branded portal, tracking through that portal and its API, analytics, and a booking hand-off through its system connections. FreighAI carries on along the same conversation instead.

Answers “where is my cargo?” on the customer’s own thread, from carrier status, for approval. Reads a carrier bill and matches every airway bill back to its job, checking line by line before it is booked. Work passes from pricing to operations to accounts with the email and everything it found attached. Nobody forwards it, re-keys it or asks for an update.

Wider is not automatically better. A tightly scoped rate platform is easier to evaluate, easier to price and may go deeper in the one area a buyer cares about most. A wider platform earns its place when several departments should share one customer context.

One enquiry, start to finish

What happens to one enquiry in FreighAI

An enquiry arrives. FreighAI reads it, notices the weight is missing and asks for it. It pulls your rate cards, checks the carrier for a live rate, and emails your agents for the lanes you do not hold, then chases them until they reply. It drafts the quote with your margin rules and what that customer paid on that lane last time. Your pricer approves and it goes. It follows up. When the customer pushes back, the counter-offer is already drafted. When the quote is old, it expires. When it is won, the job is created.

Where the rate can be fetched without waiting on a person — a carrier API, a portal read in the background, or your own uploaded rate cards — a priced quote goes out in 10–15 minutes instead of 1–2 hours. That holds for ocean and air just as it does for express; the mode does not change it. Where a lane has to be priced by another agent or over the phone, the wait belongs to whoever is answering — not to the software. FreighAI still writes the RFQ, chases the reply, and turns whatever comes back into a priced, margin-checked quote the moment it lands.

The honest answer

Which one you should actually pick

If nobody should ever choose the other product, this page would not be worth reading. Here is where each genuinely wins.

Choose Freightify if
  • your customers should log into a branded portal and search rates, book and track for themselves;
  • the decisive problem is rate supply: many carriers, NVOCCs and airlines, contract and spot in one place, with surcharges carried into the quote;
  • pricing has to be governed the same way across several offices, with an audit trail behind every quote; or
  • you want a focused rate platform rather than a wider operations layer, and prefer Freightify after both products have priced the same three enquiries. That is a reasonable product-fit decision, not an oversight.
Choose FreighAI if
  • the burden is the email itself: every department’s mail read, sorted and turned into tasks for named people, with the replies going out in their names;
  • the cost sits in the legwork around the quote: asking for the missing detail, emailing every agent for a lane and chasing the quiet ones, drafting the counter-offer;
  • the same conversation should carry on into booking, tracking answers, carrier-bill matching and collection; or
  • the first workflow must run on its own, with the option to work alongside your records later. Keep your TMS for the records. FreighAI runs the work around them.

FreighAI’s central proposition is: Same team. 5x more business. That is the intended value position, not a measured result for every business. Decide from demonstrated workflow fit on your own enquiries.

Running both

Can you run both?

More easily than with most comparisons on this site. The two meet on rates and quoting, but their centres of gravity are different. A forwarder could keep Freightify as the rate repository and the customer portal, and use FreighAI for the email that arrives and everything that has to happen before somebody can answer it.

It only works if you settle two questions first. Which product owns the quote the customer receives, and which one owns the rate that quote is built from. If both draft a price on the same enquiry, your customer gets two of them. Where the requirement really is rates, margin and a portal and nothing more, one product is enough.

Before you decide

What should you ask in both demonstrations?

Bring the same evidence to both suppliers:

  • a normal enquiry, a difficult one and one with a detail missing;
  • one real email thread from a department mailbox, with its history;
  • the rate cards, carrier accounts and agents you actually price from;
  • the margin and approval rules that apply, and who signs off; and
  • the system that owns the job once the quote is won.

Ask each supplier what happens when the rate cannot be fetched and somebody has to reply. That wait belongs to the person answering, not to the software, and any speed comparison that ignores it is misleading.

Then ask the question that separates these two products. When the enquiry lands, who opens it, where do they open it, and what is already done by the time they get there?

Questions

Common questions

01

Is Freightify a TMS?

No, by its own positioning. It calls itself a rate management platform and says it integrates with CargoWise and with TMS or ERP systems. It sits beside your system of record rather than in place of it.

02

Does Freightify read my email?

QuoteAI does, for quoting. Its published line is that quotes are generated right from your inbox, with the shipment details pulled out of the email. Which mailboxes, which attachments, and whether a person approves before it sends are not described in Freightify’s published material, checked September 2026.

03

Does FreighAI give my customers a portal?

No. A customer self-service portal stays in your own systems. FreighAI works on the conversation your customer already writes to. The reply is drafted, one of your people approves it, and it goes out in their name.

04

Is FreighAI only about quoting?

No. Every email your company receives is read, understood and turned into a task for the right person, with the answer already drafted. Your team approves. Nobody lives in the inbox any more. Quotation is the strongest production-proven workflow today, and booking and job orders, tracking answers, partner discovery, invoice reconciliation and payment collection are all sellable products on the same platform.

05

Do we have to move our rates into FreighAI?

You keep your own carrier accounts and negotiated rates. FreighAI never sits between you and your carrier relationship. Pulls your rate cards, checks the carrier, looks up the customer’s history, reads the shipment status, and talks to your TMS or accounting system.

06

Which one is cheaper, and which is quicker to put in?

This page makes no claim either way. Freightify publishes three plan tiers and what each includes, but no prices. Ask both for commercial terms on the same workflow, the same connections and the same volume. We scope the first workflow, integration requirements and implementation plan with your team.

Sources

FreighAI claims come from the shared facts file, the M4 truth register and the signed Infinity Logistics customer reference of 15 May 2026. Freightify’s published percentage improvements, quote-speed figures and team and country counts are recorded in the research notes but deliberately not repeated here, because the evidence behind them has not been independently reviewed for this page. Its carrier and airline coverage and its plan structure are used, because they are structural product facts rather than results. Freightify’s own about page states no headquarters, founding year or funding, so none is given.

READY WHEN YOU ARE

Bring one real thread, and three enquiries

Take the same email thread and the same three enquiries to both teams. Ask each to show the normal case, the one with a detail missing, the lane you hold no rate for, the customer who pushes back on price, and who signs the reply. Then decide whether your problem is finding the rate, or everything that happens around the email that asked for it.
